Congrats 18 New / Tai Kai Blue Belts
On February 7th, 2019 , Tai Kai had its latest Blue Belt Test. The candidates had to complete about an hour and half of technique including: Stand up self defense, ground self defense, takedowns, escapes, submissions, sweeps and passes. After that they had to grapple for 30 minutes straight with no breaks and a new partner every minute. Then they had a 5 minute round of exercises including: jumping jacks, burpees, pushups, Hip escapes, back break falls, etc
Everyone did awesome. I am very proud of the work of the instructors and the students. I love having these tests because I get to see the students from noon , Friday, and Sundays that I don’t normally get to see.
